MESOTHERAPY
Mesotherapy was invented in 1952 by Dr. Pistor. It is a technique where medication is injected (using a very fine needle) into the fat layer of the skin, melting the fat beneath the skin and shrinking the fat cells. The fat dissolves and is excreted by the kidneys without any problems. Mesotherapy may be used for the purposes of cellulite reduction, weight loss, and spot weight reduction. Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that hold down the skin, trapping the fat and causing the dimpled appearance of the skin. Mesotherapy injections melt the trapped fat, allowing for a smooth dimple-free appearance of the skin.

Our extensive experience in Mesotherapy has allowed us to come up with the best combination of medicines, vitamins, and herbal extracts, depending on the condition being treated. All medicines and plant extracts are obtained from local pharmaceutical companies in the United States. Many factors are taken into consideration to determine the most effective combination of medication for each patient. We have perfected the technique of tailoring mesotherapy medication to the patient’s needs. At LA Laser Center, we have treated over 600 patients and performed over 5,000 mesotherapy treatments with an overall success rate over 90%.

Treatments are administered weekly and although variable, results are usually seen after the fourth treatment. After ten treatments, patients see a significant decrease in size, improved skin tone and decreased cellulite. All adults in good health are candidates for mesotherapy. Patients who are pregnant, on blood thinners, are insulin-dependent diabetics, on medication for heart arrhthmias, or have severe heart disease are not candidates for cosmetic mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy versus Liposuction
Mesotherapy is the nonsurgical alternative to liposuction. Liposuction actually removes fat cells whereas Mesotheray dissolves the fat within the fat cells. Liposuction is associated with downtime and restrictive garments that need to be worn for at least two weeks after surgery. There is no downtime associated with Mesotherapy. Liposuction may be associated with post-operative pain and bruising. There is minimal pain or bruising associated with Mesotherapy. Although liposuction can cause irregularities and lumps, this does not occur with Mesotherapy.

At LA Laser Center, we are experts in treating Mesotherapy, and have been doing so for years. Call us today to schedule your FREE consultation at any one of our 10 locations.
