Dr. Taheri has been my dermatologist for over 7 years. He cured my cystic acne problem and cleared up sun damaged skin. He’s an honest doctor and is up to date on laser treatments and skin care products. I use his personal branded line since it contains the high quality prescription strength ingredients at a fraction of the price one would pay for products at Sephora or Nordstrom that aren’t as effective.

With any treatment plan, it’s helpful to take notes and map out a schedule. Also, have realistic expectations about how soon one will see marked results and stay committed to the treatment plan. (Ex: I use the glycolic face wash daily, the TE pads for break outs 2x week, and Retin-A 3x week.) To make it easier to stick to the plan, I posted a calendar in the bathroom. Once the regimen became an established routine, I tossed the calendar note.

I like that Dr. Taheri discloses his fees in advance and discloses what is covered by insurance and what is not. There are no billing surprises after the fact.

I love Dr. Taheri. I have always had difficult skin. I have needed dermatologist care for things ranging from acne, cosmetic & surgical removal of suspicious moles/freckles. Most doctors I have seen in the past rush through a visit address one thing & want to see you again- I hate scheduling multiple appointments. Dr. Taheri spends time with his patients, addresses issues same visit & does not make you feel insecure about your concerns. He is not only professional but also has a great bedside manner /personality. He genuinely cares about resolving your issues and getting you results. I also felt like he offers everything you need in a derm office and they take most insurance plans too. I followed his recommendations and purchased a few of his products – my skin looks amazing! He is brilliant. I recently moved to Chicago & am really bummed – so far in my opinion no other dermatologists lives up to him.

I will say that the nurses on the staff are also wonderful. I have had some spotty service with the desk staff on the phone, but nothing that would change my opinion of the practice.

I’ve been to many dermatologists in my life, but Dr. Taheri was the most skilled and thorough. Fortunately I stumbled upon this practice, as I visit other medical offices in the same building. As my luck would have it  he is a leading dermatologist. Following my biopsy he identified two severely atypical moles and promptly scheduled me for excision. The level of care has been excellent; the facilities are clean; appointments run on time and I’ve consistently been in and out very quickly – without sacrificing quality. I’m at very high risk for melanoma and I feel good trusting my case to Dr. Taheri.

To address other Yelpers’ concerns, yes, the operation could improve; I have experienced some administrative disorganization and lack of follow up by phone. But this review is for the physician, not the office staff. If you want a warm fuzzy feeling then go somewhere else. Personally I’d go to a salon/spa if I were seeking indulgence; as far as concrete medical care goes, this practice is a five star operation.

Dr. Taheri is a fantastic dermatologist.  Before going to him for a second opinion, my  husband had been to a different dermatologist who dismissed some moles on his shoulders as “normal”.  Dr. Taheri took one look at his moles and had them biopsied immediately…to our surprise, they were pre-cancerous.  I am not sure what would have happened if we hadn’t seeked his opinion.  Now my husband sees him every three months for preventive care.

I find that Dr. Taheri is pleasant, professional, efficient and incredibly proactive when it comes to treating any type of skin disorder — especially skin cancer.  I also like that his entire staff is current on all of the latest treatments and newest techologies available on the market.  We feel so lucky to have found him and intend on keeping him as our family deramatolgist for life.

Dr. Taheri is the best dermatologist I’ve met, he helped to clear my cystic acne and acne scars very fast, within 2 months my adult acne was gone and the scars have almost disappear.
